Male', MALDIVES - Former national team midfielder Ahmed Naaz (Aakey) signed a one year deal with Vyansa, says club chairman Visham. Aakey was most noticeable during his time at Victory and New Radiant, where he was regarded as one of the promising midfielders in the nation.  

“Aakey signed for next year only” Visham said. 

Visham also confirmed that they are in search for more players, especially defenders and strikers.  

“We are in search of more players and our focuses mainly are on Islands. There are no players in Male’ right now” He said. 

Besides that the club is also in full gear for hunting good foreign talents and are going through some CV’s and a final decision is yet to make.  

“We are working very hard on foreign players, we are targeting a keeper, defender and a strikers and insha allah there will be three foreigner in next season” 

Vyansa impressed and shocked many top clubs last season and they narrowly missed the chance to qualify for the President’s Cup. Vyansa who are in full gear for next season is scheduled to start their practices from the first week of January and the club is packed with 25 players in their squad.
